Bis Subramanian is a managing director based in Providence Equity's New Delhi office and leads the firm's Indian private equity investment activities. Mr. Subramanian serves as a director of Aditya Birla Telecom Limited (Indus Towers) and Idea Cellular. Before establishing Providence Equity's New Delhi office in 2007, Mr. Subramanian was based in the firm's London office. Prior to joining Providence in 2000, Mr. Subramanian was a vice president at Morgan Stanley, where he was part of the European telecommunications investment banking team. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Subramanian worked at Credit Suisse First Boston, McKinsey & Company and Intel. He received a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a master's degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology.
